The Orange House is a full-time Preschool/TK in a beautiful North Berkeley home setting. We offer a loving, fun and enriching daily program for children 2-5 years old. We are currently enrolling for our Summer Camp sessions beginning May 1. TK and rising K students from other schools are welcome!
Limited September openings may still be available for Fall Semester or Full Year enrollment, please inquire by email.
We are conveniently located in Berkeley near the northside of the UCB campus and provide full-time care M-F 8:00-5:30.

Childcare You Can Trust
The Orange House provides safe, reliable and loving childcare to support working families with full-time schedules. Our engaging, play-based Preschool/TK program includes daily indoor and outdoor playtimes, art projects, music and movement activities, lots of children's literature and continuous learning through creative play and supported social interraction. Pre-academics are introduced through art, games and STEAM activities; social-emotional development is fostered through consistent age-appropriate routine and instruction. We offer a full-time Licensed program for up to 14 children. We are happy to provide references and recommendations for your review or you can read about us on Berkeley Parents Network.

Hours and Fees
We are open Monday-Friday 8:00-5:30, drop-offs 8:00-9:15 and pick-ups 4:30-5:25. Our regular monthly fee is $2,650.00 for the 2024-25 school year. Please inquire about Summer Camp 2024 session dates and fees.

We are a full-time, 5 days per week program. We do not offer half-days or partial week schedules except when a child is transitioning into care.

Our Commitment During Covid and our TK Program
We are proud to have remained open from the very start of the pandemic, caring for the children of Essential Workers during Shelter-in-Place. From March 2020 to April 2021 we expanded our program to include kindergarteners and distance learning support while elementary schools were closed.
Our current TK program supports families who prefer a smaller group setting for their child and those who need reliable and seemless aftercare for their child's TK experience.
